Sad ending of a Phantom

In 2013, the German Air Force retired their last Phantom at Wittmund Air Base. During a "phantastic" fly out, 4 special painted F-4F were the highlight of the show. One of the jets the 38+11 was painted in the "Norm 81" retro scheme celebrating the final months of F-4F operations. 


According to the website defencenet.gr, the Russian factory Rosoboronexport is in serious talks to sell 40, 4 ++ generation fighter to the Hellenic Air Force.

Lucky accident at the China Airshow 2014

During the last day of the Zhuhai Airshow 2014 in China, a little but lucky accident happened. The Al Fursan aerobatics demonstration team was one of the main event of the show. During the landing of the team one of their Aermacchi MB-339 could not stop at the end of the runway.

Final combat mission for legendary naval aircraft

The EA-6B Prowler is the primary tactical jamming aircraft of the US Navy, US Air Force and the US Marine Corps. The Prowler first entered service in the 1970s and has demonstrated its battlefield performance in Southeast Asia, in Operation Desert Storm, in Bosnia-Herzegovina and in Kosovo, enforcing the northern no-fly zone over Iraq and in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

On 10 October, five jet, along with 80 Czech Air Force personnel on board an Italian Air Force KC-767 tanker aircraft, took the route up North to Iceland.
